Welcome, you have landed on the site dedicated to the former Shelby American employees that designed, built, maintained, drove and won with the spectacular cars of Shelby American in the 60s. As it evolves, this site will offer facts, interviews, guest writers, memoribilia and other interesting stuff about these legendary employees to give the reader some sense of how it was....most of which you won't read in books.
Each year a reunion is scheduled (usually in Southern California) for these legends so they may once again relive those short, yet remarkable years which lead to a world manufactures championship and numerous national championships, in a very short time. These reunions are financed through sales of memorabilia and contributions to the Legend Connection.
At each reunion a limited number of the public are allowed to attend to "get it first hand". The 10th reunion was held at the Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles, CA, November 8, 2007 in conjunction with a tribute to Carroll Shelby by the Museum. Picture, see link Employee News..
Carroll celebrated his 85th birthday January 11, 2008 at his Las Vegas facility...see link: Carroll's 85th Birthday. The photos were provided y by Jerry Heasley, noted automotive photo journalist and author.
